“I want to share my voice and my thoughts with other
women. I want them to know that circumstances shouldn’t
deter them from following their dreams or whatever it is
they want to do. And I’m ready to give clear direction
on how to make it happen.”
“In my workshops the first thing I tell women is, be
aware of the choices you have made and the choices you
aren’t making. This will come from really examining
yourself. Make a list of your positives and negatives in
your life always keeping the focus on you. What do you
need to change? And once you’ve written them down begin
to unlearn the things you feel are keeping you from your
dreams. If you slouch in your chair, start sitting up
straight.”
“Then you have to make a decision that you want to change. Third,
own the mistakes you feel have altered your life. Then look in the
mirror and ask yourself are you going to continue to allow it to
define you. Get connected spiritually, whatever your faith is, tap
into it. I don’t care if it’s Christianity, Islam, Catholicism or
Buddhism. Get connected.”
“The way I see it, we all crawl until eventually we can balance, and
them we take a few steps and fall down, but we keep getting up until
walking becomes second nature. And eventually in life you’ll fall
down again, but you fall knowing you can learn to walk again. If
through my workshops I’m able to inspire one person, all the while
knowing at the end of the day I own myself and I can teach my son to
do the same, then I know I’ve done my job.” |
